MWPA Foundation Scholarships

  • Scholarship Application and transcript submission deadlines applications for Spring Attendance – closes September 30. Application review and scholarship award decisions will take place in October/November.

  • Applications for Fall Attendance – close on April 30. Application review and scholarship award decisions will take place in May/June.

  • Applicants must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States of America.

  •  If your application is not clear of your intent to pursue a career in the Montana wood products industry upon graduation, your application will not be considered.

Forest Management Scholarship

The MWPA Foundation Forest Management Scholarship shall provide financial awards of no less than $1,000 to Montana students or students enrolled in Montana educational institutions, who are pursuing degrees related to logging, engineering, forest management, forest products manufacturing, or closely related curriculums. Preference shall be given to students pursuing careers in active forest management and careers in the forest products industry. Awarding the MWPA Forest Management Scholarship shall be the responsibility of the Montana Wood Products Association Foundation Awards Committee.

 Trades Scholarship

The Montana Wood Products Association Trades Scholarship shall provide financial awards of no less than $1,000 to Montana students or students enrolled in Montana educational institutions seeking certification or special training in trades or skills leading to employment with the forest products, forest management, and logging industries such as welding, metal fabrication, boiler operator’s license, diesel mechanics, commercial driver’s license, equipment operators, electrical technology or associated transportation or support industries.
